Tuesday, December 17, 2013, marked a very special moment for your Piedmont Credit Union. We celebrated the groundbreaking for our first branch in Pittsylvania County. The new branch will be located on the corner of Matthew Circle and Franklin Turnpike.
Representatives from P.W. Campbell were on hand with hard hats and golden shovels. P.W. Campbell is the firm chosen to oversee the construction of the branch. They will contract more than 20 local firms, employing many local craftsmen, plumbers, electricians, etc. purchasing the majority of the construction materials locally as well. The target completion date is late May, early June. The building will be approximately 4,500 square feet. The branch will have a community room to handle credit union functions, as well as member and community events and meetings. It will be a full-service branch with a drive-up ATM, two drive-thru lanes, lending and member services. Photographs from the ceremony and renderings of the new building may be found on our Facebook page here.
Do you have a debit card? Well, you can save yourself a trip! If you use your debit card to pay for purchases, simply select the cash back option - you can get the cash you need and pay for your purchases with one stop! No need to worry about where the closest ATM is - no need to make a second trip out or drive out of your way. It’s easy! Please try it the next time you are out.
On October 5, 2013 Piedmont Credit Union hosted the 3rd Annual Build a Better World Disc Golf Tournament. Once again businesses and members of the community came out to support the local charity of choice, Danville-Pittsylvania County Habitat for Humanity. When all was said & done more than $2,000 was raised to their benefit!
Check out the photos and read the full recap of the tournament on our website here. Special thanks to our great tournament co-sponsors this year.
