Lego® Toys are Coming to Life!
In keeping with the theme of "Christmas Toyland", Piedmont Credit Union decided to partner with another organization which specializes in toys, The MDA Lego® Build-Off. Together we've unlocked our creativity to make your beloved Lego® bricks and blocks come to life this Holiday Season!
The float appeared to be made entirely of giant Lego® bricks. In reality it is constructed from lots of foam, cardboard, wood, tape, glue and paint. The signature of this year's float are the handmade Lego® person costumes which are brought to life by some of Piedmont Credit Union's youngest account holders. Watch as Elves make toys and Santa prepares for his annual world circuit! But don't get too close to the float or you may be escorted away by one of our Lego® Nutcrackers standing guard.
Notice the use of hearts on the float and on the people. The heart is a meaningful symbol to those afflicted by Muscular Dystrophy and other muscle disorders. It is, after all, the most important muscle in the human body. We hope that our float inspires you to flex your own heart muscle this Holiday season on behalf of children who may only get to experience a few precious Christmas seasons because their lives are often cut short by their illness.
We hope you have enjoyed our float made from Lego® toys. Don't forget to support the MDA Lego® Build-Off which takes place around the first week of August each year. It's there that you can share your own Lego® creation and help raise money which will go towards fighting this devastating disease. For more information visit mdabuildoff.com.
