Piedmont Credit Union offers a discounted rate for new or used vehicles that are rated at 40 miles per gallon or better. Many economical and alternative fuel vehicles are more costly than conventional vehicles and this is one way that your credit union is encouraging you to drive a more fuel efficient vehicle.
It is important to note that not all alternative fuel vehicles will qualify for the PCU rate discount. Only those that are rated at 40mpg or better.
In additional to an interest rate discount from your credit union your alternative fuel vehicle may also be eligible for a tax credit from the Internal Revenue Service.
