Financial Education Courses
Promoting Smart Money Management
Piedmont Credit Union offers financial education courses for our member groups. (aka. the groups and companies who are eligible to join our credit union.) It is our hope that, by improving the financial education level in our community, employees across the Dan River Region will experience greater levels of financial freedom and security.
Current courses include:
- Budgeting & Saving Money
- Borrowing Wisely
- Keeping it Safe: Credit & Identity Theft
- Managing a Checking Account
These courses are based on the Money Smart curriculum published by FDIC along with some materials from the National Endowment for Financial Education(NEFE). Future courses will include Home Ownership and Retirement Planning.
If you are interested in hosting a financial education course just contact us to let us know. Class can be condensed to as little as 45 minutes, however, a 90 minute time slot is recommended.
If you would like to host a class yourself, the curriculum is freely distributed so just let us know if you would like a copy of it.
