The 44th Annual Meeting of Piedmont CU will be held on Thursday, May 9th at 6:00pm. At this meeting we’ll celebrate another great year thanks to your support. Together, we’ll SOAR into the future!
Dinner will be provided by Country Kitchen. The feast will consist of three meats, six vegetables, salad and scrumptious desserts. For the venue we’ll be returning to a popular location from years’ past, the RiverOak Church of God Fellowship Hall. This is a large, modern, indoor facility located on West Main St. Doors open at 5:30pm.
Ticket pricing is below...
- Members & joint members... $7
- Non-Members... $14
- Children ages 7-12... $5
- Children ages 0-6... Free (You still need to request a ticket by May 3rd.)
At the 44th Annual Meeting it’s not just the adults who get to SOAR to new heights! We’ll have a special event just for our young (and young at heart) members. Make your best paper airplane and bring it to the meeting to compete in four different events. There will be a contest to see whose paper aircraft flies the farthest, whose stays aloft the longest time, and whose can be flown the most accurately. Finally we’ll finish with a round of paper airplane golf! We’ll have plenty of paper at the meeting for you to make the airplane there if you want.
There will be fun for all!
In the next few weeks Piedmont Credit Union will announce one of the most exciting technological advances in our 44 year history. Piedmont CU Mobile Access will allow near instant account access to members through their mobile phone. For iPhone and Android users, an app will be available through your phone’s app store. This app will allow you to check balances, make transfers, view history and even deposit checks into your account using your phone’s camera!
For basic phones that do not run apps there is even an option to obtain account balances and history using a text message system. Most major phone providers are supported, message and data rates may apply.
Take a look below at some screenshots of the app. The staff is currently testing and becoming familiar with the app. We hope to make an official public release on May 1st. Mobile check deposit functionality will be added in June. For the most updated information about this exciting news visit www.piedmontcu.org/mobile.
There will be a Shred Day on Saturday, April 27th from 9am until 12pm at the credit union. Watch as the Commonwealth Document Managment Shred Truck destroys your confidential documents right before your eyes.
This is a great way to protect your privacy by destroying confidential documents which are no longer needed. You may have old checks, old utility bills or perhaps old credit card statements. The shred truck can handle anything you can throw at it. We'll even have helpers on site to do the heavy lifting from your vehicle to the truck!
What kid wouldn’t want to throw on a trench coat, dust off an old magnifying glass and slap on a play mustache to become a detective for a day? Children everywhere are intrigued by the thrill of mysteries and the detectives that solve them. Little do these kids know they also have the ability to tap into detective mode by investigating ways to save money and becoming a credit union Savings Sleuth during the month of April at the credit union.
Help us celebrate National Credit Union Youth Week™. This year’s theme, “Savings Sleuth, Solve the Mystery,™” shows youth and teens how Piedmont Credit Union can help them use their own instincts and credit union resources to meet financial goals. During the month of April, Piedmont Credit Union will host a Savings Sleuth game. It’s an interactive investigation where savers will have an opportunity to investigate the mystery of saving money. Participate in person or online! There’s even a grand prize of $100 that a random participant will win to kick-start their savings!
Children of all ages can sign up to play at our website… www.piedmontcu.org/sleuth
